If you are considering transferring colleges, this exclusive opportunity will allow you to meet one-on-one with a Marist transfer admission representative and receive an admission decision on the spot!

We are excited to be able to welcome visitors back to Marist, and we look forward to showing you all that Marist has to offer while ensuring the health and safety of all of our visitors and our community. 

Here's what we're doing to keep you safe:

Registration

We are requiring pre-registration of all of our visitors. Registrants for information sessions are limited to one guest due to indoor space limitations, while campus and sunset tour registrants are limited to two guests. Please click on the options below to register for the visit that suits your needs best.

Wellness Screenings

Registrants will receive a digital questionnaire 48 hours prior to their scheduled visit; this must be completed before arriving to campus.  

ALL campus visitors (registrants and each member of their party) will need to complete our COVID-19 Guest Self-Reporting Survey and affirm that they have answered the following questions fully and truthfully to participate in their campus visit:

  • Have you knowingly been in close or proximate contact in the past 14 days with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who has had any symptoms of COVID-19, or have you recently returned/traveled from the states currently included on New York State's mandatory quarantine list?
  • Have you experienced any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days? Fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
  • Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

If you anticipate answering yes to any of the above questions, please do not travel to Marist at this time. We encourage you to participate in one of our daily virtual events, or contact our office so we can best assist you in learning more about Marist!

Upon arrival at our Visitor Center, all visitors will have their temperatures screened using non-contact thermometers by Marist staff. Anyone who is determined to have a fever will not be permitted to proceed with their in-person visit.

Should any visitor arrive and answer in the affirmative to any of the screening questions and/or have a fever, they will be asked to return to their vehicle and will not be permitted to participate in their in-person visit. They will have the option of our self-guided driving tour ONLY. Those traveling in the same vehicle with that individual will not be permitted to participate in any in-person or guided visits, but will be permitted to participate in either of our self-guided visit options if they wish. 

These same screening questions and temperature check procedures will also be required for every staff member before beginning their workday at Marist.

Masks

Upon entering the property, all people (students, faculty, staff, visitors) will be required to wear a face mask when in any public area of the campus and anytime when the required six-foot distancing from others cannot be maintained. Marist Admission staff are required to wear a mask at all times, including the duration of any information session or campus tour.  

Cleanliness & Social Distancing

We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitation of the campus, and have modified our facilities to enable and promote proper distancing. We are also, as best as possible, maximizing the use of outdoor space - so if you would like to meet with an Admission counselor, it may be overlooking the Hudson, or on a bench in our quad! Here are some other steps we've taken:

  • Hospital-grade sanitation: In conjunction with social distancing and personal hygiene guidelines to minimize the spread and health risks of COVID-19, the College will employ a consistent, thorough, and deliberate cleaning strategy across all campus facilities. This strategy includes use of hospital-grade EPA approved products for disinfecting and deep cleaning of communal areas including bathrooms, lounges, elevators, laundry areas, and hallways. 
  • Regular cleaning of high-traffic areas: Housekeeping Staff will increase the frequency of sanitizing services with a focus on high-touch surfaces, such as public restrooms, handrails, tables, faucets, and doorknobs, among others.
  • Increase in hand sanitizer: To support increased handwashing, we have increased the number of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the campus in order to ensure placement at the entrance to every building.
  • Branded signage and messaging will be installed in all campus buildings, including academic buildings and residence halls, to continually reinforce community expectations. Signs will also indicate designated entrances and exits as well as one-way directions for stairways and hallways, provide floor marks to show people where to stand and sit, and note elevator capacities.
  • HVAC system enhancement: In accordance with industry best practices, HVAC systems have been modified to increase the amount of fresh air introduced into campus buildings.

All visitors will be asked to remain 6 feet from anyone who is not in their party, and tour groups and information sessions will be limited in size to best facilitate this. Please not attempt to shake hands with our staff or students, and do not be offended - it is for everyone's safety!
