Academics

No matter your academic interests, Marist has a program of study that is right for you.  The Marist educational experience is grounded in the liberal arts, and it focuses on helping students develop the knowledge, character, and skills they’ll need to succeed and adapt through a lifetime of change.

Here at the College, student success begins with a broad education across many disciplines – no matter their field of study, students learn to think logically and creatively and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  Quality teaching in small classes is also key – when professors really know their students, this leads to mentorship, joint research, and intellectual guidance. We also believe that extending learning beyond the classroom is key to intellectual development and critical thinking.  Through internships and other partnerships with outside organizations, our students gain real world experiences and contacts that prepare them for successful careers. In addition, more than half of Marist students study abroad, so they graduate with a more expansive view of the world and their place in it.

We invite you to explore the many majors, minors, and other academic opportunities the College offers.  Your journey of intellectual exploration begins now.
