John C. Wright, PhD

Assistant Professor of Special Education

Bio

Dr. Wright is an instructor and researcher with a focus on special education and the preparation of future teachers. His recent work involves teaching academic skills to children with autism, intellectual disability, and complex communication needs.

He is a veteran teacher, having taught for 12 years at both the primary and secondary levels. He spent three years as an elementary school administrator in a large urban school district. Dr. Wright has consulted for school districts and statewide education agencies to support inclusive practices for students with disabilities.
